A king and queen have an only daughter whom they adore, and when two kings come asking for her hand in marriage, they refuse because she is too young. In retaliation, the two kings hire a magician to cast a terrible spell on the princess. When a ring that can break the spell is introduced, the king and queen are unable to give it to their daughter, so the king of Spain disguises himself as a jeweler and sells it to the queen.
