A vain and evil queen consults her magic mirror and discovers that her beautiful stepdaughter, Snow White, is now the "fairest in the land." Initially, the queen sends her huntsman to kill Snow White, but he fails to commit the murder Snow White escapes into the forest where she discovers a small house inhabited by seven dwarfs. The evil queen's magic mirror tells her that Snow White is still alive; the queen disguises herself as a peasant girl to poison Snow White herself.
