A vain, wicked queen consults her magic mirror and learns that her beautiful stepdaughter, Snow White, is now the "fairest of them all." At first, the queen sends her huntsman to kill Snow White, but he is unable to commit the murder. Snow White flees into the forest, where she discovers a hut inhabited by seven dwarfs. The evil queen's magic mirror tells her that Snow White is still alive. The queen disguises herself as a peasant woman in order to poison Snow White herself.
