The vain and wicked Queen looks in her magic mirror and discovers that her beautiful stepdaughter Snow White is now the "fairest of them all". At first, the Queen sends her huntsman to kill Snow White, but he is unable to commit the murder Snow White flees into the forest, where she finds a cottage inhabited by seven dwarves. The Evil Queen's magic mirror tells her that Snow White is still alive, the Queen disguises herself as a peasant to poison Snow White herself.
