A vain, angry queen consults her magic mirror and learns that her beautiful stepdaughter, Snow White, is now the "most beautiful in the land." Initially, the queen sends her hunter to kill Snow White, but he is unable to commit the murder Snow White escapes to the forest where she discovers a cottage inhabited by seven dwarfs. The evil queen's magic mirror tells her that Snow White is still alive, the queen disguises herself as a peasant to poison Snow White herself.
